Code and title of qualification - CHC30708 Certificate III in Children's Services
This qualification covers workers who use organisational policies, procedures and individual children's profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously. In some settings, the worker may also have limited supervisory responsibilities of volunteers.

Assessment
It is envisaged that during this program a wide variety of assessment methods will be implemented in order for students to achieve competency in the Certificate III in Children's Services Units.
As childcare is a very practical skill most of the on the job training will be done through role modelling and workplace training with observation methods being used to assess the students skills. Oral questioning will be used frequently to ascertain a level of understanding along with the collection of work products that the student will complete as part of their role within the workplace. Written assignments/ evidence will also be used to address training package requirements.
Enrolment and Fees
All enrolments must be accompanied by the enrolment fee (non refundable). Persons and dependants holding: a pensioner concession card, health care card, persons and dependants in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY, Youth Allowance may be eligible for concession. Proof of eligibility for concession must be shown at the time of enrolment.
Your enrolment fee also includes the resource fee and you will receive your text books once your enrolment has been accepted. The text books are yours to keep and are a valuable resource for reference when working in the childcare industry.
